Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026. This policy covers the Get Testimonials marketing site and app, operated by Simple Business Suite (“we”, “us”).

What we collect

  • Account data. When you create an account, we store your name, email address and account settings through the Simple Business Suite central account system.
  • Testimonial content. Testimonials submitted to your collection links, including text, photos, audio and video, the submitter’s name and email, star ratings, and the consent and release record (timestamp and release-text version) captured at submission.
  • Usage and analytics. We use self-hosted analytics (Umami) to count page views and understand which pages help visitors. It does not use advertising trackers and does not sell data.
  • Billing data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

How we use it

  • To provide the service: hosting collection pages, moderation, embeds and verify pages.
  • To label verification levels honestly, including matching a submission to a purchase when a Pro customer connects Stripe or Shopify.
  • To send service email, such as invites, follow-ups, and account notices.
  • To prevent abuse of public collection and upload endpoints.

What appears in public

Approved testimonials appear where the account owner embeds them. Each public verify page shows only the testimonial, the submitter’s display name, the date, the verification level, and that consent is on file. Submitter email addresses, IP addresses and audit-log internals are never shown on verify pages.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with processors needed to run the service (hosting, video processing, email delivery, Stripe for payments), under their standard data terms, and when required by law.

Retention and your rights

Account owners control their testimonials and can export or delete them. Submitters can ask the business that collected their testimonial, or us at support@simplebusinesssuite.com, for access, correction or deletion. See the data deletion page for how deletion works. Deleted video and media are removed from storage and backups on a rolling basis.

Security

Traffic is served over HTTPS. Access to production systems is limited, secrets are stored server-side only, and each account’s data is isolated from other accounts.
